The Burke-Gilman Trail is a highly-trafficked urban trail located in King County that runs roughly 20 miles from Shilshole Bay in the City of Seattle to the City of Bothell where it intersects the Sammamish River Trail.

The trail follows a historic railroad route near the Lake Washington Ship Canal and north along Lake Washington to the Sammamish River, crossing Ballard, Fremont, Wallingford, the University District, and View Ridge within the City of Seattle, as well as the cities of Lake Forest Park, Kenmore, and Bothell.

We took data from the City of Seattle records and averaged the number of pedestrians and cyclists who use the Burke-Gilman per hour per day since 2014. The trail usage data shown on the next page was gathered at NE 70th Street, indicated above with a yellow star.
